The Monterey History and Art Association (MHAA) was
incorporated January 19, 1931. Its purpose was to preserve the artifacts of
Monterey’s historic and artistic influence. The founding members understood the
power of the arts and significance of history.

The Historic Garden League (HGL) was organized in 1995 to support the development, knowledge, preservation and appreciation of the significant historic gardens within the Monterey California State Historic Park and the surrounding historical area of Monterey; and to assist the State of California in collecting, preserving and displaying information and artifacts related to those gardens. HGL is a “non-profit” corporation organized and operated exclusively for public and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Mission of the Order Sons of Italy is to promote and preserve the History, theTraditions, the Culture and the Language of Italy for the benefit of all humanity. The Monterey Lodge has expanded the Mission to recognize the needs of the community and to help meet those needs.
The Monterey Lodge of the Order Sons of Italy has become an integral part of the total Monterey Peninsula community and is recognized for its becoming active in our community while continuing to work vigorously for the fulfillment of our Sons of Italy Mission.
What we do: The Monterey Lodge promotes the Italian language and culture as well as participates in philanthropic and social undertakings.
